I thought I would share this pic because it was such a cool sight to see a bunch of interesting chips all together. This was a box of stuff I got from a UNC professor yesterday along with some posters used at a Siggraph 1991 presentation

To slow down the drooling only a few of these are actually cpu's. Most are custom chips from a series of graphics super computers developed at the University of North Carolina.

But one chip that wasn't developed in-house is this.

Now that just made it worse. A sample of a Weitek 3132 32-bit single precision floating point arithmetic co-processor.

I'll take it off your hands if you dont want it Smile

I will have some extras of some stuff but most are custom chips related to graphics rendering. Not sure if they are collectable to most but I will of course share Smile

The Weitek was a one of and a surprise to me. I was expecting custom stuff only.

I'm sure they are not collectible. Just send them my way and I'll dispose of them properly Smile
