This guy must be clinically insane, this is ridiculous

This chip was made by ALTERA, a known Military Grade manufacturer of CPU chips and electronics ... most of the stuff made by them are GIANT MONEY and can only be affordable by Goverment Bucks. This is a UNBELIEVABLE piece ... looks like a large Eprom (if that is what it actually is). However, inside the Window is Gold Exposed wires and a LCD like "brain" ...

Its a damned commercial PLD, worth $1 or so, NEW they were like $20, which i supose today not even the govt can afford

That`s right up there with his UA- JET 238-01

http://cgi.ebay.com/VLSI-Heavy-Gold-THING-CPU-Chip-UNIQUE-Rare-Vintage_W0QQitemZ380109025579QQihZ025QQcategoryZ162075QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

What an interesting chip !!! Obviously a RARE PROTOTYPE as shown on the front of the chip ... notice the word "THING". Made in the USA which is very unusual. Look at the other information 0n the face of the chip ... "UA" (Possibly United Airlines)and "JET238-01" (Possibly the plane it was created for?)

Interesting side note. I tracked down who this guy a few weeks ago using the Paypal information. I came across a couple forums where other people were discussing him, very strange. He primarily sells collectable coins up north and deals in tubes. He apparently bought all the surplus of a type of tube which was why these other guys were discussing him.

I am convinced that he and Paul (ChipCollector) somehow work together or get chips from the exact same place. To long of a story to tell you why I think this but I am 99% convinced.

I used to think RC4U and chipcollector were the same person! I forget what made me think that or why I changed my mind though.

Smile I even asked RC4U about Paul and his reply was. " I don't discuss people I do business with"

My reply was, thanks, that's all i needed to know.

Hehe I nearly started a topic about this, but resisted:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-ALTERA-Vintage-CPU-Chip-w-Silver-Wire-LCD-BRAIN_W0QQitemZ380107462546QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item380107462546&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A13|39%3A1|240%3A1318

LCD? WTF? Brain? Eh?

I was cleaning up (removing lacquer) from about 30 of these at the weekend. Seeing that I can get $18 for one has got me rubbing my hands! Twisted Evil

I messaged him in Ebay a while back and said he sounded about 10 years old.

His reply was "How do you know I`m not 10"

LMAO

I hope none of the 30 accidentally finds it's way into my package when you receive the D8008... It would be a crying shame if I was forced to add another UV-erasable chip type to my collection Smile

The guy is a fruitcake. Remember this is the same dude linked with KKSELLS, a quick look back through this forum and you'll find a couple threads discussing.

Shill bidding and lies on the item description are the hallmark of this character. It seems a lot of people have been sucked into his rareasrockinghorseshit routines. Telling lies, sorry, expanding the truth, to get people to part with their money is just as bad as picking their pockets.

There we have it.. RC4U is your modern day Dick Turpin. Trade with him at your peril. Fortunately for me I am not interested in any of his crap, so I can avoid.
