I'm unable to find just one pict or info about :
- am8085ADC8
( 4 pieces listed on netcomponents )
- am8085ADCB
( 470 pieces listed on netcomponents, without info about Amd or Intel copyright )
I have probably one of each, and I don't see them on all cpus collections listed on web.
Are they so rarerul or hard to find ??? |

Hi,
don't pay more than roundabout $15 each.
I can get 46 AM8085ADC for that money within one week.
These clones are often very nice, but they aren't really most-wanted on ebay and not a lot of collectors collect them.
A lot of collectors like to have one of every Intel-Version but if they would try to get every version of every clone they might park their car on the street and not in the garage.
Otherwise - if you can buy them for an acceptable price - maybe in a few years...
I also collect clone cpus and some go well on ebay - such as my white 2901 from raytheon.
Others - like the Mostek Z80 clone go for less than $4, so I'll keep them.
I tried to get in contact with netcomponents twice, the first time they gave me a horrible price ($150 for 10 I1101 each), the second time they answered only one of six requests and that was $70 for 10 I8008 each.
I think you really need a good contact to them to get realistic offers.
Best regards, Michael |

Hi,
I'm agree with you.
I could have 100 AM8085ADC for $15,00 each me too with a good contact.
I could have probably 100 AM8085ADCB ( no gold top & brown ceramic ) with 1981 AMD copyright ( gennadiy got the same in ADC version ) very common in the year 1982, and for probably the same price each. I found one on a telecom board but he is broken in two parts...
But I'm not really sure the AM8085ADCB, gold top, purple ceramic and Intel 1977 copyright could be so easy to find.
Problem is the great confusion in distributors listings... I'm not sure the hundreds of AM8085ADCB listed on netcomponents are like the one I'm actually trading.
Finally, the Value depend of your own interest for the cpu you want and of the trading status between collectors.
Collecting is subjective. |
