|
|
I ran across an Engineering Sample of a Xeon E5430 (QFTS), and was wondering if these are compatible with the standard (SLBBK) when running dual-processors? Or, will I have to buy another engineering sample?
Overclocking is not the concern in this case... |

| Awesome! Didn't want to mess with the thermal paste before making sure! Thank you. |

| Oh, and one thing to watch out for: ES are unqualified... They may have certain extra undocumented features, like bad multi-processor operations and extra sensitive thermal shutdown. But most are OK. |

| My dual Xeon5405 ES runs fine, I only needed to put the latest bios from my motherboard vendor. |
