there should be a "no changes" option avaiable, guess there was recession in Poland before the US told us they've got trouble.
But last friday a guy crashed into my mint '92 Nissan 100nx, suspension in my Kawasaki ER5 started leaking, and today I failed a test in analitic geometry so I guess I'll go for the second option

Not too bad here but seeing many around me have issues. I just happen to have secure job and my wife is tenured. I would say it's 50/50 in my area. Some are greatly affected while others not at all.

As for personally me ... I almost didn't drink alcohol even before crisis Smile
So I voted for #1 instead of #2

No job insecurity for me but my incomings droped twice.
Of cource I'm looking for "more ways to invent more money" (c) CPUShack
Less restaurants, no bowling... ect, it seems that it will be no holidays at the seaside this summer...

As for my hobby... yes, I have less money for it but now I know more about CPUs and it helps to find sometime something interesting for less $ Smile
And one more fine point is that local flea market sellers (and their suppliers) are looking for "more ways to invent more money" too. And it induces them to find more CPUs for me Smile

Last year I was rushing to graduate however since February I started to take it easy cause we started to feel the intensity of the recession a lot more. At this point I realize that even if I graduate now, I will have trouble finding a job at least till the end of summer.

Some of my friends who are mostly engineers have already lost their jobs. We are hearing rumors saying that some large companies are downsizing up to 50%.

I cut some of my expenses and that includes the money I spend on the chips. I wasn't spending much already since I have a "student budget" however nowadays I have to be even more careful.

Yah its true.. I work in a small engineering company, and through natural staff reduction ( moving away ), long term sick and actual layoffs, including reduced working hours, our staff costs are down about 50%.
Our company turnover this quarter just gone, compared to last year is down 40%. This current quarter is heading towards 60% down on last year. We had a huge surge in orders in Q3 and Q4 last year, so even if we do O.K. for the rest of this year, the figures will be down.... and doing O.K. is about the best we can hope for.

Good luck when you graduate. Keep learning and studying, developing your skills and so on. New graduates know dick.
