LOL yah
It makes me laugh, ebay charges a TON more fees for charity auctions.

If that was a normal auction, the fees would be like $135

Actually I don't think this device will cost more than C4040 in several years. What would you say?

It depends Smile
If you want to achieve 7 GHz validation or get SuperPi result like this
http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/showthread.php?t=229011
then it can worth more than c4040,
but IMO $7700 is tooo much anyway.

Funny thing is that AMD gave them freely to most famous overclockers...
And now they sell them...

It is $8100 now, and there is 4 days left...

Hehehe, I will buy me a Phenom II X2 550BE
which is running at air cooled 3,7GHz, thats
~$32 per GHz. I do not need 4 cores
and burns of liquid nitrogen.
And would not spend $1800 per GHz!
Ok it`s for charity, when I would be rich then.... Smile

It's funny - after the first auction for this presumably very rare processor there are three other TWKR processors listed on eBay. One of those auctions states:

"THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY TWO PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AMD TWKR CPUS, They will not be sold anywhere in the world." Smile
