guys just bought a http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=228448

got it all done installed but a few things still bother me.
1. as the cpu has an over clock to 250-any higher than 200 and it jitters? the screen so how do i get it to max without the screen doing the shuffle?
do i need to adjust the cpu voltage higher as well?

i believe the dram freq should be 166 as the memory is unbeffered crucial 1 gig pc3200. is this right? max 2 gig

the other thing is the cmos 3 pins on the board have a jumper in normal mode it wont let the board boot so am i right in keeping it removed? as now it boots?

one more thing is how on earth do i get a sata to be first in a boot sequence as the 2 transports are booting first on ide secondery.
what i have done is this. put sata to ide setting as the only other is raid and disabled. then i put the secoundry ide to drive the 2 transports with ide primary turned of. it recognises all but will not sequence them as i need, what shall i do guys?

Well fiirst I dont really think that M/B is going to over clock well at all, especially if youre using the onboard graphics. I think that cpu would run the memory at 200 as well as the HT speed. Buts its been a while since I ran socket 754 rig.
As far as getting the correct boot sequence there should be options in the bios that would allow you to choose what drive to be the boot drive altho I remember having trouble running more than one hard drive on some of those older boards.
I would try and get it all up and running with one hard drive and no overclocks going and be sure the system is stable . Then try and add the other drives and after you get them in and running the way you want give the overclocking a try. There is alot more to running a stable O/C then just changing a few settings as you need to take care of the extra heat and stress that the extra volts and speeds will generate when in O/C mode.

Ahh Also make sure that the cdrw and the dvdrom are set with the jumpers on the back for master and slave drives. Sometimes the cable select options get tricky.

That 3200 Athlon Processor and Motherboard Bundle is way too old to be part of a gaming system now-a-days. (i wonder how they still can sell this...) Well for the price that would be expected. They graphic card you pointed out would work, but the processors would be a HUGE bottleneck for that card. If you want to use that HD4870 properly i would at least recommend a AMD Athlon x2 or a Intel Pentium Dual Core/Core2 Duo.

And which unreal tournament are we talking about?
UT3, Unreal2004, Unreal2003, Unreal1999 ?

In case of UT3 you really need to take a better bundle than that 3200 one. (that bundle would be like 3 years old, and that is quite dated for pc principles.)
For any older version of it you could do it with the 3200 set, but i would not recommend to use that new 4870 card, as you cannot justify buying one of these then, as Unreal2004 for example runs fine on a Ati 4550 or 4650 (and yes they fit as well on that 3200 set).
