Hey guys, up for a challenge?
I came across the "Help identify the chips" thread last night, and I decided I would make my own, since I have some of those strange IBM metal-covered chips. So I took pictures and made my own little web page:
http://www.geocities.com/segaguy84/chips/chips.html
I have put several chips that I couldn't identify or didn't feel like trying to identify in there. You can try to identify whatever you want or none at all, it's up to you. I am mainly interested in figuring out what those metal-covered IBM chips are.
Thanks!
(Second edit: Changed the link to point to my secondary website, where the chips.html page will now reside.
Third edit: Added info about second and third edits.) _________________

I hate IBM chips - they'are impossible to identify. Therefore I will go directly to section 3:
AM9265DPC34567 - 8KB ROM (?)
P8255A-5 - Programmable Peripheral Interface
AM9517A-5PC - DMA controller
MK38036N-25 - ???
D8284A - clock generator
D8288 - bus controller
D8253C-5 - Programmable Interval Timer
P8259A - Programmable Interrupt Controller
