I dont need the whole thing translated.. ( unless you want to
I know the pin-out, as I already have these displays working.
I am curious to know what it says about:
- the filament/heater drive limitations.
- maximum bias voltage ( 70V? )
- an special operating conditions to be observed
- life?
-intended use?
Thank you!

So far I have...
Rough/preliminary translation of datasheet for IVLM2-5/7.
Translator's comments in <>'s.
More complete translation to follow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basic Electrical Characteristics/Parameters
-------------------------------------------
Heater Voltage: 2.8
Heater Current (volts nominal): 225 <units not given. mA?>
Impulse Voltage for green segment: 25
Impulse Current in one green column nominal milliamps: 4.0
Impulse Voltage for red segments : 50
Impulse Current in one red column nominal milliamps: 6.0
Grid impulse voltage: 25V
Grid impulse current (ma): 4.5
Brightness green: 600 kd/m^2
Brightness red: 250 kd/m^2
<kd/m^2 == candela per squaremeter: intensity
(per Jan Philipp Wuesten, http://www.die-wuestens.de/)>
Permissible Operating Cycles
-----------------------------
Heater Voltage: No less than 2.5V
Not to exceed 3.1
Any segment voltage: Not to exceed 70V
Impulse voltage of grid: 27V
Contains no precious metals. <Darn!> |

This document have no data about lifetime,
but I checked the book about soviet display nixie tubes.
Typical lifetime for this tubes is several tens of thousands of hours.
And lifetime is strongly depends on the heater voltage
(less than minimum shortens the lifetime too!),
in this case of deviation of heater voltage from nominal value by +/- 10%
the operating time of indicator is reduced approximately by an order! |
