Looks like the print was done with a rubber stamp.
Possibly refurbished?

I have one of these also and I believe George Phillips that these are genuine C8008's that have been re-marked by a second source distributor.

Seeing the bottom of the chip may help. Ideally being able to find someone to test it would answer all questions Smile

1) 1st rule of chip collecting: Everything is fake, unless you have one in your own collection. Then it becomes genuine as you of course found it in a dumpster in an alley behind Intel.

2) 2nd rule of chip collecting. There is only 1 rule.

Looks to me like poor quality refurbs, designed more to be hidden in equipment than displayed by collectors Smile
