Many of us answer Cpu related questions as price, rarity, codes, dates and so on. Cpus being on the other side of the bed when going to sleep.

Others are more on the help troubleshoot side, answering to needy, often not registered one-shot-only users.

What are you?

Personally I just try to help, as there are veterans of cpu decoding.
And usually questions are about really difficult chips out of my knowledge.

I know what I know and if I can help someone else out then generally I will. Weather its a hardware problem with modern equiptment or some tech data on an older chip. I am a guru of computers in general I guess compared to most ordinary people but I am an idiot compared to others . I always keep in mind that I am always learning.

From my professional perspective I am a n application guru in a special software related corner. So my hardware related capabililies are pretty much limited.
Hardware skills came up while faling across my companie's junk.

Therefor HERE I am "just a collector". But not JAC, he's another one:-)

Ask me if you have problems identifying obscure
processors from HP, IBM, DEC and so on!
Also I can tell a bit about the rareness, value
and were to find.
I like to repair old computers and giving hints
but don`t like to talk about the standard
x86-troubleshoot- and upgrade option issues.
There are so many other (highly specialized) forums
related to those topics that I prefer to safe
some time to water my flowers Smile
