I'm currently using my "grandfaters" computer....its very old....like 90's......anyways i want a new computer for christmas and i don't want to spend a fortune. i know how to use a computer but i don't really know anything about them.......maybe i can tell you guys what im looking for and you can tell me if the computer i picked out is right for me.....i'm looking to burn lots of movies and music as well as games......i need good quality sound and video!!! thats very important.......i am pretty fast paced on the computer so i have ALOT of stuff going on at one time usually (well i'd like to be able to have lotsss of stuff going on at once) ....for instance I might want to be downloading 3 movies at a time along with 5 songs at once. and have IE 8 open 5 times and be playing a game at the same time....i really need something that is going to zip through this and not freeze up because to much is going on at once.....i have selected the following type of computer for me, please let me know if its the one for me Smile if not please advise me of what is....remember cheap! Smile thanks in advance

eMachines EL1331G-01W Desktop PC with AMD Athlon Processor & Windows 7 Home Premium
i was planning on requesting windows xp since i'm already familiar with that OS Smile thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this topic should help you : http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12804

Windows 7 is OK ( except preinstalled by OEM manufacturers i.e. in notebooks where you are getting a lot of rubbish software which makes it slow as Vista was).
