Hi,
Here are two pictures of a cpu i believe is an IBM 386.
Problem is however that i cannot find any proof of this.
The Copyright that is used is Intel 85, the Intel 386 have that year of copyright too. Further, the pinout is the same as on normal 386.
I found that http://www.cpu-info.com/webpics/Forum/IBM386-2.jpg Has a different CPU from IBM he inditified as 386.
I found no further information, can you help me?

Simplest way to find out: put it in a 386 mobo and let it run. _________________ Frank. |

There is even faster way - creative search on Google -

Sometimes adding or removeng "ESD" to/from IBM part numbers helps. Yes, it's a 386 processor.

Is there any marking that identifies it as a 386? I have another one here, part number 51F1784. It's a 386, but how do you tell if you cannot check it in a board? _________________ ..::morkork::..

No, there are no markings. At the time when I acquired these processors I searched on Google, and not only on Google, and found a few references to these chips as 80386 processors. I can't find these references now. Other than that I don't have any other proof
