Just bought a new Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester 0,09 micron CPU today, but I would really like to know the differences between the models. The ID of the one I bought is ADA3500DIK4BI, meaning that it features 1.4V and a max temperature of 65 degrees C, but according to http://www.cpu-world.com/info/id/AMD-K8-identification.html it's available with 1.5V and max temp of 70 degree C as well.

Does this mean the model I bought is less qualified for overclocking and need more cooling? Any differences in performance based on these stats?

A Hypothesis Wink
Lower voltage and lower max temp means it can reach high speeds with stability. For example ( This information is only for example purposes, I know how some of you rush in and do corrections immediately- please keep that in mind ):

My default voltage is 1.3875, or 1.4 with an external clock of 204mhz and cpu ratio of 17.0X. Instead of it being 1.5v at 3.468ghz, it will be 1.4v. So now if you raise the voltage to 1.5, you will be able to get more speed out of it for less power consumption. Also the temperature will be running 5 less Degrees Celcius than the one you pointed out for review ( 1.7v )
My cpu temperature idles at around 45-47 C at 3.4ghz. I can overclock it to 3.750ghz, and under MAX Load it will stick around 64-69 C.

So basically you're saying the model I bought is better than the one with 1.5V and 70 degree max temp specs?
