1.3ghz amd duron (13x100)
1.25gb sd ram (133)
nvidia geforce 7600gt(570/700)
gigabyte ga-7zx rev.1.x motherboard

just bought a athlon xp 2400 n put it in for the little upgrade from 64kb to 256kn cashe n 200mhz increase. its running at 1500mhz since my mobo doesnt support 133mhz fsb, booted loaded windows played a few games everything is cool Smile

but on boot up, it shows my chip as athlon xp 1050mhz but in windows it shows 1.5ghz, cpu z and pc wizard 2010 show what the initial rating should be and what they are they both show 1.5ghz, my games run a bit better so it seems to be working.

but is it actually at 1.5ghz? or am i just fooling my self cuz im to excited?

The bios has a bad habit of showing the incorrect speed if it doesn't support the cpu properly. But it usually works anyway so I'd say it is running at 1500.

he mentioned it in the 1st post + "100 mhz fsb only".

Psst. here it is: http: //www .gigabyte. com. tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=1316

Too much 4004 dreaming makes you tired in the morning Smile LOL
Smile Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

So man, you could achieve FSB 133 by overclocking.
The GB bios usually shows other modified fequencies when you overclock the fsb, as they have fixed ratios.
Problem with overclocking with fixed ratios is to burn some components not ment to work at higher rates of frequency.

Just be extra careful.
