Hi,
I'm trying to build a database of x86 cpu. In order to do that, I'm consulting many sources on the web and i found maybe there is a mistake about names given in "Other OKI chips" chapter on http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/8086/MANUF-OKI.html and http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/8088/MANUF-OKI.html.
You said there are OKI MSM80C86XXXX, but it seems that in fact it is OKI M80C86XXXX. I know that the name given on OKI web site is MSM80C86XXXX but in the datasheet (p33) they are speeking of M80C86XXXX.
Moreover, on all chips you have (and all i'v seen) it is M80C86XXXX.
Am I wrong ? |

I swear I saw those MSM8086/8088 processors somewhere ...
I didn't see them, and I don't know anybody who has them in their collection. The reason I added them to the website is that the datasheet mentions MSM parts, and there are many references on chip brokers sites for those parts. I suspect MSM8086 are the same as new M80C86A - it could be that OKI introduced new naming convention for their chips (changing the prefix and suffixes), or maybe they just added "MS" to differentiate between new and old chips.
