Interesting chip, I blurred the rest of the board so it couldn't be figured out by the support chips. I'd bet John knows what it is....anyone else? I wouldn't have known before today. It is a cpu.....

There does not seem to be a socket, so perhaps it is an embedded type CPU.
Maybe Atom? |

it appears to be BGA packaged VIA of some sort
unless i stumble across a picture of one on the web, there is nothing there to be able research what is is
no markings
no time line of when it was in production
not even what the board the chip is on (but that colour board is often used by mercury) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Doesn't look like nano (square design), atom is larger and this cpu is very tight on edges (package is smaller). Unless it is atom with some ulv small package for some ultra portable machine...
Not ion, definitely not c2d for macbook air.
This is really difficult as a morning riddle |
