I have bought a new G-31 board lately but I'm confused about the graphic card that I'm going to install coz my board only supports PCIx16 1.0 video cards while most vendors offer Nvidia 9 series cards in the market which are all PCIx16 2.0 compliant. Can I install a 2.0 compliant video card to a board with a 1.0 compliant PCIx16 slot? Is there any compatibility and/or performance issues if I use Nvidia Geforce 9500GT?? Please help..Thanks.

No problem. They are backward comaptible to ver 1.0.

Just be sure you have correct PSU.

Correct, and your 9500GT card won't need any additional power.

Question: Why go with a 9500GT? I hope you're not going to try gaming Smile

A 9500 is more than enough for Pacman Smile

Not for modern warfare 2...

Just barely enough for Pacman Smile I recommend a 4650 or 4670, whichever you can afford, just make sure and get the version W/O the accessory power connector- Low enough power use, and enough horsepower for some games!
