|
|
| I have bought a new G-31 board lately but I'm confused about the graphic card that I'm going to install coz my board only supports PCIx16 1.0 video cards while most vendors offer Nvidia 9 series cards in the market which are all PCIx16 2.0 compliant. Can I install a 2.0 compliant video card to a board with a 1.0 compliant PCIx16 slot? Is there any compatibility and/or performance issues if I use Nvidia Geforce 9500GT?? Please help..Thanks. |

No problem. They are backward comaptible to ver 1.0.
Just be sure you have correct PSU. |

Correct, and your 9500GT card won't need any additional power.
Question: Why go with a 9500GT? I hope you're not going to try gaming |

A 9500 is more than enough for Pacman
Not for modern warfare 2... |

Just barely enough for Pacman I recommend a 4650 or 4670, whichever you can afford, just make sure and get the version W/O the accessory power connector- Low enough power use, and enough horsepower for some games! |
