|
I'm completing informations on i960 family for my site and I was wondering what are the differences between 80960RM, 80960RN & 80960RS on one hand, 80960RD & RP 80960 on the other hand.
From their datasheets, they look very very similar... Anyone knows ?
Thanks. _________________ Register on x86-guide.net to manage and share your collection on-line !

RD/RP are essentially the same, the RD is the clock doubled version of the RP (think like a DX2) runs at a 33MHz bus for a 66MHz core)
They both use the 80960JF core (4K I Cache and 2K Data cache)
The 80960RM/RN use the JT core (16K I-Cache and 4K D Cache)
The RM Supports 5V 32-bit PCI
The RN supports 3.3V/5V 64-bit PCI
Otherwise they are the same
The RS supports 3.3/5V 32-bit PCI but does NOT include the hardware XOR engine that that RM/RN has _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
