Hi!
Dug up a XC68040RC25M from a pile of scrap i got from a colleague at work a year ago. Are XC always ES/QS/pre-prod? This was taken from a normal production unit that where being scraped. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. XC is specifically 'not-fully qualified'
They were normally the first few runs of production, to buy them you had to sign a statement acknowledging this.
Basically they work fine, but MAY have some errata
PC = ES
XC = Pre-qual
MC = fully qualified
SC = custom part # _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
