| Are there any dramas in changing from a K5 to K6-2 cpus . The motherboard ia Gigabyte GA586 ATV or ATX. I believe both boards have auto select for cpu voltages. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Tim Beadle |

K6-2 CPUs have 2.2V core voltage. It seems the GA586 ATV does not support this voltage, so the fastest AMD CPU you can upgrade to on this board is K6-233.
I couldn't find manual for GA586 ATX board, maybe it can support K6-2 processors?
