i ended up probably one of the lucky ones
at home 2 broken tiles & a sky light.. plus both son's car a little battered. The power was only off less than 24 hours.
at work.. still only half power after 48 hours, plus the car only suffered a few dents & a broken windscreen
Looking at some houses & cars.. it looks like they did about 20 rounds with Mike Tyson
Not sure how Chook went
the closest thing to the storm i have seen before... is the outside edge of a tornado.. strong wind, heavy rain & big hail.
but the first storm cell (the worst one) was 10 kilometers wide
the next one.. not so bad... was 30 kms wide _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Only the side of the storm went over my place - some loud thunder and heavy rain, but no hail. My brother's work is right in the middle of it though and his car was trashed.
I was driving around Perth yesterday and several sets of traffic lights were not working and I saw several cars that looked like golf balls! _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A
