Ferranti is a ULA (uncomitted logic array)... a gate array
BSS2 means it was for British military

Probably not Smile

There were only a handful of UK maufacturers of chips: Ferranti, Plessey, GEC... never heard of GBL

GBL -> Seems to be "Gigabit Logic Inc"
{now Part of Triquint Semiconductor}
