Just imagine they put this kind of humor into one of the 1802 chips on board of the Voyager spacecraft, and some aliens crack the chip and deduce this was sent by chickens LOL

hehehe, nice one.
BTW, what was the chip (from Toshiba?) that had something written on it in russian? I remember they did it because Toshiba's designs were constantly being copied to USSR chips. I think it was Toshiba

Yes, it's well-known story,
but those guys need to rearn russian basics,
separately words are all right, but the whole phrase
is almost meaningless, very hard to understand Very Happy

A while back I came across something about these ester eggs on dies. The most common were designers initials (such as on the 4004) and names but some folks got more creative than that. Here are a few of my favorite.

HP memory controller spoof on the to close bumper stickers you often see.

Node adapter chip homage to the hitchhikers guide to the gallaxy

The AMD 486 dx4 120 chip has the university of Texas long horns emblem embedded. I like it because the very first computer I ever built or had for that matter used this chip

The original Intel pentium carried the message Bill Sux for bill gates. Unfortunately my pic is to large to upload and I don't feel like messing with it right now
