KAF-1600 CCD Image Sensor (Kodak, 1536x1024)

Found this in a pile of other stuff, looks like it is an early CCD image sensor, at least pre-1998.

Numbers on chip say "KAF 1600" then "M5A 19876" - the datasheet I found talks about "M5B" being the order number, so this is either an early one with slightly diff. specs or else what, an engineering sample? An early flawed one?

BTW the area surrounding the CCD inside the glass "window" is surrounded by gold plate; it just doesn't show up well on my crappy webcam.
