Alright so I just ordered a
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400 Processor BX80571E5400 - 2.70GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB, Wolfdale, Dual Core, Retail, Socket 775

for this motherboard

ECS 945GCT-M3(V3.1)

However its not on the support list. BUT core 2 duo processor's are supported. Also my current processor is a Pentium E2140

THe new one is a 45nm while the old is a 65mn. I imagine this Pentium would work if a higher model would.

It's a good educated guess it would work.
Have you tried googling your motherboard and cpu? Often someone somewhere on this planet had the same question and posted about it on some forum Wink

If the e5400 isn't on the CPU support list for your motherboard, I seriously doubt it will work.
