Trying to ID this CPU

I'm trying to find out what type of CPU I have. It came from my Sony Vaio VGC RA 830G - the numbers listed on the CPU are:

A8799
35583534

There's no writing on top of the CPU

BTW didn't know before what some vaios were desktops

Thank you so much. Now I know why my up graded MB is not working with this CPU. I think I should be using Intel 670 CPU

Would the Intel 550J CPU be internchangeable with Intel 670 CPU. In other words, can I replace the 550J with the 670 CPU?
