|
|
I am putting up the spare 400MHz Cascade Xeon up for auction. Actual item pictured below
No obvious scratches or damage. White markings on case are from contact with thermal paste & should clean off easily
This processor is sitting at AVICC, so shipping to AVICC is included in auction price
Until now the slowest Cascade Xeon listed or found has been 600MHz
The one I have kept is from the same production batch, but of a lower serial number.
The auction will run until Monday the 27th of Sept 2010 09:00 GMT (this is to allow time for members that don't visit on a daily basis)
PDT (US) 2:00AM
EDT (US) 5:00AM
BST (UK) 10:00AM
CEST (Germany) 11:00AM
CST (Beijing/Perth) 5:00PM
EST (Sydney) 7:00PM
Bidding will be by PM only
Bidding will be in US$
The highest bidder at the end of the auction will only pay the second highest bidders amount plus $1
for example if 2nd highest bid is $30, then winner pays $31
Payment is by Chip Pay or PP
thanks & good luck _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Bidding will be updated as regularly as possible, especially in the final 24hours
|
in my opinion , in this bid design
you should not update the bidding before auction end
let say,
if a supercollector bid 1,000,000 USD now
and you update it
then , there will be no 2nd bidder
so 2nd highest bid is 0
then suppercollector just need to pay 1 USD?
there will be 2nd bidder only if the bid amount is kept secret |

I am going list as follows
Bidder Y holds bid & bid is $x +$1
where Bidder Y is the highest bidder
where $x is the second highest bid
so bidder 1 bids $30 & bidder 2 bid $35
it will be Bidder 2 $31
ONLY the 2nd highest bid will be listed _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

people have spoken by their silence
The auction will now be a silent auction
No auction bids will be listed before the end of the auction _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Thankyou everyone that bid
I do believe that this will become a unique piece for the winner's collection
Bidders were given a random bidder number which was PMd back to them
In order of highest bid to lowest, the bidders were
Bidder #4
Bidder #2 (US 83$)
Bidder #6
Bidder #7
Bidder #5
and keeping to my promise the winner pays only one additional dollar to the 2nd highest bid _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
