hi all nice to be here great work with the forum...well im having some troubles i currently have intel pentium 3.20 ghz whatveer and my friend form england send me a same intel pentium 4 3.40 ghz...iv done cpu placing milions of times when i was actualy fixing other ppls computers i always get stuck with mine though as the case is today...i put the cpu in start pc just when time to load up win 7 comes it restarts...is it the heat problem?
i realize if it is the heat i have to put some selikone in ?

You need high performance cooler for this CPU + thermal grease between heatsink and CPU's heatspreader. You can check in BIOS (Health Status) actual temperature of your CPU.
If CPU restarts maybe it is damaged (overheated in the past) ? Or can be to weak power supply or your motherboard simply do not supprt it. You have to give us more details. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
