|
I bought a Cyrix 5x86 and the heatsink fell of when i unpacked it. I first thought, "what the heck" its the CPU that matters and put the heatsink away. But then i started think, in twenty years from now, when selling/trading one with the original heatsink and one without, wich one is more valuable?
Is it just the chip or is it the whole package?

if the heatsink came bundled with it, like that one, then its a lot more valuable with the heatsink imo.
however, if its a chip like a pentium 1, where the heatsink was generally just some generic aluminum one, then no one will care
although, having the original *retail* heatsink might help a bit (though i personally dont care), and having the original retail packaging will make it a lot more valuable |
