Both have 6 chips, however how can Phenom be ~500$ cheaper than the Core CPU's (that's the price difference of computer sets) although the performance should be the same? (6x 2x/3.x?),
OT: is it better to have 2 equal GPU's installed, or 1 High-End card? |

Looks like you want a nice gaming-PC?
Save the money for an overpriced I7 and buy a quad- or sixcore Phenom!
Then you have enough money left to buy one of the fastest 3D-accelerators currently on the marked.
This gives you more FPS than anymore very spendy percentage of additional CPU-power
which most games currently cannot fully utilize. _________________ Ordem e Progresso |

I'm not actual with latest VGA cards but old theory was right about better performance of two cards than one high end but it takes more WATTs I.e. two 8800GT are better than one 8800GTX super clocked - and you got them for same price. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

have built gaming system for my friend about 2 months ago on phenom 6x thuban we also kept his older two 4870x2 /2gb/ocie 16x cards working in tandem - great system, works flawlessly all games on maximum resolution and he is using his 36" HD lcd screen, no problems.
AMD is always a better value for a buck when talking about hi-end (mostly) systems.
so i agree with previous posts. _________________ its here. |
