I have a box from AVICC arrived at local customs.
It is just as big as these past boxes but a bit heavier then usual.
Part of the reason is that some chips are for local group-buy.

Although it's value is decared as $30, I have to spend $100 to try to pick it out from the customs.

Yesterday, the whole day, I drove to many places to handling this which make me really tired. Firstly I have to find a import/export agent to make some forms including packing list, commodity invoice, sales contract, agent protocols etc. And then take all these forms to customs borker of the post office. and pay for the service. yes, $100. They were smiling when received the paper money.
And now I am still not sure if it can be easily get without any more problems.

I really hate the damn customs!!!

Think I will have to stop buying more from aboard from now on.

Being a member of WTO for many years, but why the importing rules become stricter and stricter and are definitly lacking humanity!

The customs officer told me CPUs are not allowed to import to China personally! How stupid!!!!

Even I bought them only for collection and museum display.

BEIJU!

If you will pay tax then in same moment you are jumping on BLACK LIST of custom's.

I had a "talking war" with customs many times but never paid them what they asked (except only one time when parcell was with 150$ declared on it). When I told them they are old, not working and without market value scrap - they asked for RECYCLING TAX Sad But now I can say I'm on white list and none of them makes me troubles.

at least you can have a "talking war" with them.
Here we have not any right to do anything. just do what they said. they did not hear and believe anything you explained.

In Russia we have the same problems. I visited customs office at least four times during last half year. It is very hard to explain why I need a lot of CPUs. They always suggest me to pay, but I rejected all their proposals Smile

At the moment we are lucky that we can bring in almost A$1000 (about US$970) of goods at at a time without paying any customs fees, taxes or duty. But some of our retailers are complaining, so maybe the level will come down. But it makes it easy to bring in lots of cpus even with high values.

But if someone has been eating something and bits go into the box (or smoking some strange weed), then it can get stopped by quarantine, as we have pretty strict quarantine.

But we can always complain without going to jail lol

Ask a Lady in your post office. From Poland we can send up to 5kg on envelopes and 20 kg on packages.

Eh, there is a notice in post office, it's say that only legal entitys can send items with weight more than 500gr. Stricter regulations of US customs. Are they scared communists there in America? Very Happy
