So, I got my storage boxes yesterday and just finished sorting out most cpu's (still have to do the Slot1 cpu's), but I think this is a great and safe storage mechanism. Still waiting for new tapes for my Dymo labelwriter so I can label the sections, which is a lot prettier than the paper taped to the inside of the lid.

The cpu's that fit without problems: Socket 5/7, 370, 478, 775 and the xeons without interposer. Socket 423 and Xeon with interposer don't fit Sad, have to look for something else, or maybe cut out some seperators.

Also got some very nice eBay deals last week, will post pics when cpu's arrive.

Nice start!
You'll be surprised at how quickly you will fill up these display units. Better buy some more. Wink

...and Welcome to the group!

I bought the boxes on a dutch webshop, I used the boxes for my other electronic components too (resistors, capacitors etc) have about 30 now Embarassed , 6 reserved for cpu's but as johnorun said, I might have to order new ones pretty soon.

These boxes are manufactured by a spanish company called Tayg (http://www.tayg.es) and the type is BOX5 , you should be able to find some shops selling them near you if you search google for "TAYG-BOX5".

Got my first eBay shipment today. A box from the UK with 39 (mostly mobile) cpu's and 11 wireless cards (b, b/g and modems). Entire box including shipment was 44 pounds (roughly 52 euro's). I asked the seller to firmly pack the cpu's. What I found you can see in pictures below. This is a list of CPU's I got:

I've tested some of the socket 478m and socket 479 cpu's and the s478 cpu's all worked. There is only 1 cpu that is obviously broken (missing pin). Also found a stepping code for the athlon 2200+ that is not mentioned. (see picture below)
