I had a nice surprise this weekend. I opened a server
and found a nice ES chip:

Intel QX93ES P3-1000 Coppermine - SOLD tetrium

$23.00 and it's yours with free shipping to AVICC.

Thanks!

As I understand there were basically 2 diffewrent versions of these chips:
Engineering samples and qualification samples, the first should have an unlocked multi whilst the second shouldn't, but I don't know for certain though.

You're way over my head. It does work though
as the server was running while I low level formatted
two 9.1G drives.

@Glory_Cloud: If it works, could you see if you can lower it's multiplier from within BIOS please?

@Glory_Cloud: If you're willing to test the CPU in a board (preferably not a server board, a consumer board would be better due to increased BIOS options) to see if you can set the multiplier lower (below 7.5x) and it doesn't have an unlocked multiplier, then I'd be willing to let rflynn88 take the chip Wink

I need an unlocked chip for some of my tests (I won't be overclocking it! ;D ), but if you can't test the chips multiplier, then of course I'll take the chip anyway Wink

Sorry my friend but the server was parted down.

PM me how to do what you want done and I will give it a try.

Oops. After further review, Mr BIOS may not be able to resurrect the server. Your are welcome to the Intel system board if you want it though. Add $5.00 to your payment for the extra shipping costs and it's yours.

Could you give me the specs of the board and perhaps post a picture?

And where are you located?
