there's a very nice pentium pro es on ebay seller is vintagepcparts

(Happy now?)

It looks like he's shill bidding his item up. How do I know? The seller is from Pepperell, MA, and the high bidder is also from MA. I'm not directly accusing, but it could be one of those situations.

heheh I don't know why it bothers collectors if someone posts a link up. I'm sure all of you do a search on ebay 24/7 looking for chips on book marked searches. I know I do, but only 23/7 though Cool

I find it odd that the bidder, that buys and sells only coins and bills, bids three times in the past month on vintage chip auctions, and all three auctions are from the same seller. Friends don't let friends to sell the items cheap? Smile I'm not going to bid on it, even though I planned on bidding at least the amount I offered the seller in private e-mail.

That is very odd!!! Evil or Very Mad I have thought about it and i will not bid on this either then. My collection still needs alot of "regular" chips so i use the money for that instead of a single chip...

Maybe a email to the "Ebay fraud squad"?

I really liked that chip, but there's no way I'm going to let someone fool me like that
I'd like to see what happens afterwards if 3-Phase remains the high bidder Smile

if you think theyre shill bidding (the point about the buyer from the same state bidding on cpu auctions only from this seller, while he never buys any other cpus) is a very good one.. you should report it to ebay.

I won Very Happy I am glad you all didn't bid Wink Actually I didn't realize that he was running the bid up as I waited to the last minute to bid on two of his chips. After having my bid ran up to over $1000 for the C4003 I learned to wait.

I got that the 1701 today as well. I have been after that chip for almost the entire time I have been collecting. This has been a really expensive two weeks...
