I'm looking at replacing a MicroStar MS-6312 with an Intel GS810, using the same Gateway Flex case.

Will my Gateway power-switch wiring plug and USB-jack wiring plug work with the Intel board, or are the designs exclusive to each manufacturer?

Thanks so much!

USB connectors and power/reset switches are same on all boards - only you have to check in manuals where they are placed. Connecting them wrong may cause motherboard damage.

Thanks. I just found that each individual wire and its metal female terminal can be removed from the plastic power-switch wiring plug by depressing the side of the metal terminal with a sharp object.

Apparently the plastic power-switch wiring plug itself is not a standardized design.
