Hello, has anyone done this? I am thinking about trying it, the sockets are the same and I think the BIOS will support it, but it just seems to easy of an upgrade and those are the ones that usually bite you right where it counts! Any thoughts/Advice for me? Thanks in advance!

i7-920XM have the same stepping as i7-720QM, so you shouldn't have problems with BIOS. Two possible problem areas are:
- The 920XM has higher TDP, so your laptop will run hotter, and batteries won't last as long.
- Overclocking features of 920XM may not be supported by BIOS.
