Thanks!

typically I try avoid "destroying" fake markings these days

I would firstly use some solvent on paint surface of die cap or use a sharp blade to scrape new paint layer away.
Quite often the old die markings are not directly underneath the new markings
so hopefully end up with both original & fake die markings showing

you can scrap the coating off the top.. but you will likely be short some fingers in the end Laughing

easier to remove the paint on die cap to discover what the processor actually was.
but the paint is still tough work to remove.

I have a couple of different width paint scrappers with sharpened blades varying from 5mm to 30mm width to do this sort of job

I spent a lot of $$$ on this one. I have talked to the seller. I decide return it for credit.

Thanks for all your answers!
