|
The FACE is as-

AT80604003051 AB
I846002U (e4)
Exact Verbatim copy of the face.
Side in gold, left corner

I've had this chip for 3 years now, still have no idea what to do with it.
I would sell it if i could, which i know i cant. I dont want to recycle it, or throw it away, fear that i will lose something special.
Please help in any way, pictures can be provided i absolutely nescarry, posted in a couple of different forums and intel was almost no help. |

it is an unreleased 7500 series Xeon MP
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/TYPE-Xeon%207500.html
with Intel's new part number scheme.. very hard to tell specs without testing
the only other sSpec in same part as yours is Q1ZU so may help tracking down more info _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I can only confirm that this processor from Xeon 7500-series. Unfortunately, there was no production chip with this part number, so it's impossible to tell what it is. The only way to find out is to test it in a Xeon board...

| The motherboards for this chip are far too expensive and i dont need 4 cpu ports. I'm so lost on what to do. |

there some people that still buy unknown chips but not having specs does lower their value.
If cheap enough even collectors will buy _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| Im willing to let this go for any price. Of course there should be some kind of bid. The chip looks in great condition, does not look fried or chipped or scratched. Yeah. I might as well sell it, though i did hear that Intel rewards you with a better or same chip for turning in a Intel Confidential chip. |

first of heard of that.. for years they tried to ban the sale of Confidentials
if you sent it in.. most likely it would just disappear
your best option is post on ebay with good pictures and see what happens
personally I wait for newer chips to lose their value or try to pick up poorly listed auctions
EDIT >> did a look at similar unknown 7500 series sold on eBay.. most seem to go for $50 - 60 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

sorry I dont post my cheap sources.
all I'm saying is that the lowest price sold at auction is $50 - 60 of a ES in a unknown part.. next is a $200 BIN of a ES in a known production part
there are heaps of others listed at higher prices.. but only ones of these sold were full production CPUs
So if you post as a $0.99 auction... just be aware you may only get $60
If you want more.. then post at your BIN price and see what happens _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
