Hi there everyone! I just discovered this site and registered. I can tell I'm going to like it here!

I'm in Gilroy, California, and dealt on Ebay for just about exactly a decade, 1997-2007 until the crumbling economy got me and Ebay had become so hard to deal with as a seller that I closed my account, vowing Never Again.

I can't seem to stay away from vintage electronics or it can't stay away from me or something. In fact, I found this page because I was researching a "pretty chip" a grabbed off of a board that was being given away to a guy to make cross pendants out of(!!). It turns out to be a PDP-11 Jaws-11 CPU and there's another IC with it that's also DEC.

These old CPUs and ICs are *not* going to be made again. In fact, frightening numbers of them are being ground up for the gold in them. I've been starting to save up ICs with gold on them, and would rather see them go to collectors than get ground up. I can see here I'll have a good venue to sell them to collectors, and I don't care if I sell them for less than I'd get on Ebay, I vowed Never Again and I mean it.

I'll try to get some pictures of my chips up later; I also just got some weird HUGE HEAVY DEC CPUs I have no idea what those are all about.

A big friendly wave to all!
