|
|
I'm trying to use a good gaming processor, and i admit to good skills (but not in depth skills like this). I'm looking at an AMD Phenom II Dual-Core N660AMD, however site my friend looked it up on said its no better than a Core i3 370M. I'm a big gamer; i play WoW, SC2 (and will play the expansions), and many other games on my laptop i use now. I'm not that good at understanding overclock but i do know it makes the processor work faster/better. I'd like some help on figuring out which one of these processors would be better or if i should look at a different processor. I know its a lot to type, but i didn't wanna make people ask me a bunch of questions just to answer my one lol.
Any help would be appreciated |

you should give some info on your current pc components, like motherboard model, ram etc.

| well the laptop i have isn't even good enough to run SC2 on lowest graphics, the graphics card is on recall and no updates have been given for it in 2 years (yes i've checked). so i was looking at new laptops and one had a 3ghz AMD Phenom II Dual-Core N660, but a website said its no better than an i3 intel processor (which imo is a bad one because it cant overclock). |

| If you're looking at laptops, you're going to need a graphics card- I'd recommend something with at least an Nvidia 530 graphics core- They will all be coupled with enough memory and processor (look for Intel, NOT AMD) so the system will be sufficient. |
