unforgetable piece, but mismatch label or fake. _________________ * Wanted i487 * \ ** P.F. 2019 to you ** |

I contacted the seller to tell him that the fastest K6-2 ran at 550MHz, and that socket 7 didn't support speeds that high, and I suggested that he check the part number. His reply? I'm wrong!
I guess that would make him a seller to avoid, if his price wasn't already high enough to ignore
My response to him was:
| Quote: | In that case you have been sold some very poor fakes. I am a former CPU collector, and the K6 family chips were one of my main areas of interest. Along with other collectors, I can assure you that YOU are wrong, not me.
If you don't correct the listing then I will have to inform eBay that you are selling fake parts without announcning that they are fake. |

That is really funny. I took and e-mailed him asking for a picture of the CPU so I could verify the markings on it. His reply...
| Quote: | | I was told that this listing was correct but I am going to look into this more tomorrow morning to see if I can correct the description. |
Then he had a P4 for sale for more than what the original price was so sent him a link to the CPU-World sSpec page that gave him the price on it and told him to lower his price if he actually wanted to sell it! |

He sent another response.
| Quote: | I have removed this listing as we have had another person with the same concern as you. I can assure you our CPU is not fake, but there could possibly be an error in the description. I sincerely apologize for this mistake and will fix this right away.

Yeah, I got that reply as well. Hopefully he's not the sort of person who will try to list it the same later and hope nobody notices. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

i purchased ibm server from this seller about 5 years ago, without any issues, properly packed and shipped, still works 8() so, beig said that, i was completely satisfied with my purchase.
However i am very curious to see picture or screenshot of bootup screen/ cpu-z screen etc. _________________ its here. |

| Well they finally sent me a picture of the CPU in question. It wasn't a K6-2 but in fact a Mobile Athlon 4 running at 900MHz. I sent her the link to the CPU-World page with the info. It's funny how people post stuff with out checking out if it is correct. |

| IT Equipment Express is ALWAYS selling random parts for WAY over the going market price. I was looking for a cheap video card for my son a while back, and he had an OEM Dell 8800GT listed for like $479. Just look at his items for sale. Almost all of them are extremely inflated prices. |

- i always stick with idea, if you dont need it, dont buy it (if price is high for you - just find a better deal)
i dont see anything wrong with prices being jacked up - the whole life style is based on speculation. _________________ its here. |
