They do exist, but I would want to see a good picture of them if I was considering buying them. Riviera has both in his collection at CPU-Zone (see the 8008 frame to see both together). They're certainly not common
I don't know if the M8008 is military, but the G8008 are chipsthat were sold by Godbout.I can't remember the story fully, but as I recall it they found a lot of 8008 that Intel had binned, and when they were found to be working got permission to sell them as G8008 to the hobby electronics community.
