I saw a picture of PIC10 6-pin (!) microcontroller in DIP package, and it looks kind of cool:

It's a 8-bit microcontroller with RISC instruction set (33 instructions) and up to 1 KB on-chip ROM. It works at 4 MHz.

at what looks like only 3mm square.. certainly the smallest MCU i have ever seen Shocked

It'd be nice to get one for collection. We can get them at $1.10 - $1.20 per chip if we buy at least 10 of them.

Yep.. I would be in for one as I dont think i would find anything smaller
but I will have to use the low magnification microscope for collection pics Laughing

Yepp PIC10 in I think the smallest SMD dual in-line package.
Below another amazingly small BGA-package!
