| i am upgrading my intel pentium dual core e2160 to either e5800 or e6700. all of them are lga775 socket and both 3.2 ghz. the difference is the fsb, e5800 is 800 and e6700 is 1066. my e2160 is 800fsb and 1.8 ghz. my motherboard is an intel 945gct. can i upgrade to either one of them or not at all. also the cache in e2160 is 1, both 5600 and 6700 are 2. |

Supports 1066 fsb, upgrade to 1066 fsb cpu.
945gct-...?
min 800 fsb... see if in bios you can get fsb 1066 by overclock.
It's late, check thoroughly your board for the exact model number. |

| it's intel 945gct-nm and it is not capable of overclocking. cpu info in bios are shaded gray and i cant highlight it. thanks for replying. |
