Would it be worth the money and time to upgrade my mobile processor from a n660 to n970?
note: I plan on using it for moderate gaming.
Please help me out with this decision. |

It depends on what type of games you're going to play. Look for benchmarks for your favorite games, and see if they benefit from more than two cores. If they use three or fewer cores than don't bother upgrading, or you may want to look into Phenom II N870.

| I would like to play games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield which take a lot of cpu power, and on my n660 they will play but my only concern is would the n970 or n870 be an upgrade in overall performance or just a waste of time and $. Call of Duty and Battlefield can be really intensive and the minimum cpu that call of duty calls for is a AMD Phenom X3 8750 desktop cpu and I want to try and match that with the S1g4 socket without going over the 35watt limit mine has. |
