| This is a vintage military telephone switching box. From what I have been able to determine it was used as a portable switchboard in the field during military operations to connect different pairs of telephones. 1944 might be the patent date. I am not sure. There is very little information about it or Telephone Mfg. Co. U.K. |

Interesting!
I wonder when you switch to one way, can the small handle in the center connect to the node outside?
Btw, why the nodes outside are made of glass _________________ **********************

| The back reads, "Terminals under this cover". Thus it looks like one removes the 12 screws on the back to access the terminals inside, where the wires are connected. Then the wires lead out the side of the box. |
