I think GI CP1600-2 is a CP1600 16-bit microprocessor, possibly with higher/lower clock speed.

The CP1600 is based on the PDP-11 architecture, btw.

Very nice chips Igor! The white HP is an IO-processor
for the old proprietary HP mainframe bus.
The CP1600 is really awesome! I have a GI LP8000
which is in the same package. There is no question
about that these are very very rare.

The GI chip if is really A CP1600 is a very nice and rare find......

but ....as u say the board have 5x IDM2901A
so based on this bit slice cpus ....... why to use one more totaly different cpu architecture in the same board-machine..... ?

I am also curious of what system these parts came from!
20bit of sliced arithmetic power, a 16bit host processor (?)
and a 16x16 multiplier point to a specialized system
for audio or video manipulation.

It wasn't a PC.
Something specialized. A computer + periphery?
All I've saw - just several boards and unusual cabels. The same design. All chips had '83 data. And a lot of 2764.
Will try to make a photos if they are still alive. (I've pulled these chips at gold scraper's site of flea market)
