One guy complained about defective Intel processor in Intel community forums:
http://communities.intel.com/thread/28186?tstart=0
Apparently, he bought unreleased i5-3570K Ivy Bridge processor (more than a month before release), and it's not supported by Gigabyte board. He posted a picture of the processor, which is a production part! For those interested in chip markings on modern processors you will notice that the font looks different from Sandy Bridge parts.
