After having taken a several month break from working on the 2006 edition of my guide due to World of Warcraft, I am back working on my guide again.

Lot's of incredible chips have surfaced this year. The 4003's with gray traces, the 1701's w/gray traces, etc. These chips and many other new chips will of course all be in the 2006 edition of my collectors guide plus, new data sheets, etc.

I have acquired a number of early Intel brochures and manuals which should help me tighten up the introduction dates of on some chips.

I was extremely disappointed that I lost the auction on the 1973 Intel Data Catalog on EBAY. This would have been a goldmine of information.
I am pursuing trying to obtain a copy of this Catalog but I don't know
if I will be sucessful.

Several new collectors have entered the hobby over the last few months that I suspect have the means to become serious players in the hobby.
While it's good to have new collectors entering the hobby, it's also bad in that it drives the prices on the really rare chips even higher. Still, compared to collectibles like coins or stamps, the best examples of the rarest chips are still dirt cheap.

Sales of the guide seem to have picked up a little the last few months.
At last count, I think I have given away about 20 copies and sold about 50.
I have not really been marketing the 1st edition because I expected to
get a lot of feedback on it, and I wanted to see what chips would come out of the closet as a result of the guide ending up in the hands of chip distributors.

The 2nd edition for 2006 coming late this fall will be the edition that I hope will really get the ball rolling. This will be the edition will be the 1st to have a Library of Congress card catalog number and this will be the edition I plan on spending some time marketing.

So, I guess you got to level 60 Very Happy

Your guide has been extremely helpful to me. I am trying to find at least one version ("C", "D", "P") of each chip in the guide but I still have allot of black on my site... Maybe someone can help me???

I look forward to seeing the updates!
